Whether you're charging up steep climbs or conquering epic descents, the Vala’s 150mm rear and 160mm front suspension travel ensures the ride stays silky smooth, no matter how rough the terrain gets. The Vala is running a mixed-wheel (MX) setup—29 inches up front, 27.5 in the rear—engineered to maximize control and playfulness. Even with the added heft of the motor and battery, this unique configuration keeps you nimble and confident.

BOSCH Performance Line CX

The Vala features the new Bosch Performance Line CX motor. The latest Bosch e-bike drive boasts 85Nm of torque. Santa Cruz paired it with a 600Wh for perfect balance of weight and range.

4-Bar Suspension?

VPP is a marvellous suspension platform but it has limitations when paired with a motor. The Vala's new 4-Bar suspension design allows for better kinematics that closer resemble it's electric counterparts meaning the Vala feels like a the Santa Cruz bikes that you know and love.

Adjustable Geometry

In the Low position, the shock rate becomes more progressive, particularly at the end of the stroke, and there’s some bottom-out resistance to be gained. In the High setting, the bike rides a little higher in its travel and supplies the rider with more mid-stroke support.

C and CC carbon

The Vala is available in both C and CC carbon layups for both the cost conscious and the caution to the wind types. All models come in under 50lbs.

Sizing Guide

The sizing chart is a great place to start when picking your next bike but everyone will fit a bike a bit differently. Your torso, arm, and leg lengths all play into what size of bike you may need. Plus, there's your own personal preference.

We always recommend swinging by the shop and taking the bike that you're looking for a spin to see how it feels.
